Textiles
Children will learn to use a blanket stitch to create stone age purses and pouches. They will discover how pattern can be used to add detail to designs and take inspiration from stone age cave paintings. They will experiment with and evaluate a range of fasteners to use on their product.
Cooking and Nutrition
The children learnt how to explain the importance of food safety and hygiene when cooking. They followed a recipe and measured ingredients to the nearest gram using weighing scales. The children then designed their own biscuit following a design criteria and enjoyed making and evaluating them. They were certainly extremely tasty!!
